We invite applications for one postdoctoral position at the Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris (IAP). The successful candidate will work with Rafael Alves Batista on topics related to the Giant Radio Array for Neutrino Detection (GRAND), broadly defined, including (but not restricted to): high-energy neutrino astrophysics, cosmic-ray astrophysics, radio detection of air showers, multi-messenger alerts, time-domain astronomy.
The project will be conducted in close collaboration with the thriving GRAND-Paris Team, which gathers more than 20 members among permanent researchers, engineers, postdocs, PhD students, and interns, working on various aspects of the GRAND experiment.
The ideal candidate should have experience in experimental and/or theoretical astroparticle physics or multi-messenger astrophysics and be able to work well within a collaboration. Strong coding skills (e.g., C++, Julia, Python) are mandatory, considering that the role involves code developing and analysis of large datasets.
The gross monthly salary is between 3519 € and 4291€ per month, commensurate with experience. The contract has a duration of 2 years, nominally starting on 1 October.
Applications must necessarily be submitted through the CNRS website before June 28, at 23:59 (Paris time).
Further details are available in the official announcement (see link below). Note that only individuals who received their PhD within 7 years of the positions’s starting date are eligible to apply.
